The $200 million transformation of Raine Square into a late night, 7-day-a-week dining, shopping and entertainment precinct continues with work on its Stage 2 fashion precinct well underway.
Construction works are in progress throughout the heritage-listed Wentworth Hotel on the corner of William Street and Murray Street, a new ‘Glass Box Building’ and, adjacent Raine Square Plaza.
The ground level of the Wentworth Hotel and ‘Glass Box Building’ will become the Raine Square fashion precinct whilst the upper levels will see the addition of a medical centre and 3,000sqm of office space.
Works include façade restoration to the Wentworth Hotel to return the William and Murray Street facing Hotel to its former glory.
Other exciting works include a feature light upgrade. Once complete and activated, this striking lighting will highlight the beauty and historic architectural features of this landmark building.
Construction partner Built is on track to complete Stage 2 by the end of December, enabling the opening of Raine Lane and Raine Square Plaza pre-Christmas. With feature lighting, timber bench seating and abundant planting, the new Raine Lane and Raine Square Plaza will be a comfortable place to visit, sit and take time out.
