Cross-sector capability

As a market leader in industrial &  logistics, office, retail and social  infrastructure, Charter Hall offers our  customers a distinct advantage  thanks to the extensive cross-sector  relationships we enjoy as Australia’s  largest commercial property provider. We’ve built strong, long-standing relationships with more than 2,600 tenant customers including many of the country’s leading national and global brands, from food logistics, eCommerce, automotive, manufacturing, food processing and production production and distribution, 3PL, packaging, waste and recycling.

We are proudly the largest grocery landlord in Australia for their retail and logistics needs, partnering with Coles, Woolworths, Metcash and ALDI. We are also the leading real estate partner to global technology and online retail companies and we own and manage the largest Government property portfolio in Australia. By leveraging our cross-sector capabilities and being one of Australia's largest property management companies, you can benefit from efficiencies and tap into collaboration opportunities, bringing your business and industry partners closer than ever.

Australia Post

Delivering on long-term relationships

Australia Post has long been one of Charter Hall’s largest tenant customers, occupying approximately 90,000sqm of logistics space across the country and a total of 128,000sqm at 32 sites across our Group portfolio.

We helped launch the company’s warehousing and fulfillment start-up Fulfilio and have purpose-built and leased back many of their distribution hubs. We pride ourselves on understanding the fast-changing needs of Australia Post, remaining agile to support their increasing need for space and connecting the business with capital, capacity, and strategic opportunities for expansion.

This relationship has also expanded into the office  and retail sectors. Charter Hall is currently developing  the new Australia Post headquarters in Melbourne  and our retail assets also house a number of Australia Post outlets.

Inghams

Growing with our customers

Our national partnership with Inghams is a good example of how our integrated national approach benefits our tenant customers and leads to mutual success. We have worked closely with Inghams on their property requirements since 2014, partnering on the development and delivery of new facilities and the upgrade of existing facilities. From 6 properties, we have grown our partnership to encompass 432,000sqm across  a national portfolio of 36 assets.

Together, we are partnering on the implementation of sustainability initiatives across the portfolio, providing opportunities to reduce energy usage and carbon emissions as well as water usage to help deliver on Inghams’ sustainability targets.

Catch.com.au

Delivering efficiencies through automation

Catch.com.au is one of Australia’s largest online retailers, offering over a million products and shipping over 10,000 orders per day.

In 2018, Charter Hall proposed a unique solution to Catch: a next-generation warehouse facility complete with a high-tech automated parcel sorting machine. In 2021, due to increased online shopping demand throughout the pandemic, we helped Catch expand into the adjoining warehouse at Truganina Logistics Park, relocating the existing tenant customer to a new facility we developed. Catch now occupy a high tech 46,900sqm facility, made possible by the scale and flexibility of our portfolio and the customer-first approach of our teams.

Catch is part of Wesfarmers, Charter Hall’s second largest corporate tenant with 80 locations across our Group portfolio. Charter Hall offers one of the largest industrial property management services in Australia.
