Public Art Project at Flagstone Logistics Estate

Art that connects Country, community and place 

An Abundant Legacy 

At Flagstone Logistics Estate in North Maclean, Queensland, public art is central to creating a place with a strong sense of identity and connection. Delivered in collaboration with Art Pharmacy, the installation is inspired by the cultural and environmental significance of the Logan River, a lifeblood for the region for thousands of years, supporting ecosystems, communities and cultural practices.

The installation brings together Shifting Reflections, the public artwork by Jane Cavanough and Adrina Khobane, with Journey Lines, an accompanying First Nations artwork by Kylie Hill and Jane Cavanough. Together, the works celebrate the history of the land, honour First Nations stories and strengthen the connection between people, place and Country.

Shifting Reflections draws inspiration from the reflections and flow of the Logan River, with three curving steel forms that evoke water, movement and connection. Situated nearby on the entry wall, Journey Lines speaks to the connections between community gathering places along the river, acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the area and the cultural practices, stories and sense of belonging that make this place unique.

For Charter Hall, the artworks reflect a broader vision for Flagstone Logistics Estate: creating lasting value beyond the buildings themselves. The installation contributes to a meaningful legacy for the precinct, celebrating the history, culture and character of the area while creating a stronger connection between customers, workers, community and Country.
