Charter Hall Group (Charter Hall or the Group) has been globally recognised for its ESG leadership in real estate, with five Charter Hall funds ranking in the top 10 funds according to the 2025 GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) results.
GRESB is the leading global benchmark for ESG performance in real estate. In a field of 2,382 participating funds, covering 500,000 buildings across 76 markets, Charter Hall Office funds rank 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 9th in the GRESB Standing Investments Benchmark.
Charter Hall was also recognised as a Regional Sector Leader, ranking 1st place in Australia across the Unlisted Office, Retail and Industrial peer groups. Sixteen Charter Hall funds are now in the top 20% of the GRESB universe, and 24 of 28 funds improved their scores compared to last year.
Charter Hall Managing Director and Group CEO, David Harrison, said, “GRESB is the world’s leading independent reference point for our investors when assessing sustainability performance. We’re proud of our standout results in this year’s assessment – they reflect the depth, consistency and scale of our strategy, and our continuous improvement.
“Beyond performance and reporting, these results are evidence that our assets are delivering real impact. Our approach to sustainability has always been practical, platform-wide and integrated into how we do business. Together with our tenant and investor customers and our partners, we’re helping shape a more sustainable built environment, focussing our efforts on where we can generate the greatest value and make the most difference over the long-term.”
GRESB CEO, Sebastien Roussotte, said, “Each year, the GRESB Benchmark reflects how responsible investing – anchored in sustainability and backed by data – can deliver meaningful outcomes for investors, markets, and communities.
“Amid market uncertainty and shifting global priorities, GRESB participants continue to lead with action – demonstrating that responsible investing is not just resilient, but essential.
“GRESB Sector Leaders set the pace for the industry, showing how strong fundamentals, effective management, and measurable performance can create long-term value and drive progress for the market.”
