Charter Hall Group (Charter Hall or the Group) announces that it has secured lease pre-commitments from Bunnings Warehouse (Bunnings) and Australian wholesaler Dats at its Flagstone Logistics Estate in Queensland, comprising over 120,000sqm of land within the 100-hectare industrial estate located on Mount Lindesay Highway.
Flagstone Logistics Estate is part of Charter Hall’s growing Brisbane logistics portfolio, positioned in one of Queensland's highest growth corridors and strategically located along the Mount Lindesay Highway, offering unmatched connectivity to Brisbane’s major infrastructure hubs.
Situated in the highly sought-after region of North Maclean, this location is considered a Priority Development Area by the Queensland Government, with planned infrastructure and government investment set to grow the region over the next ten years.
The Bunnings distribution centre will be completed in late 2025 as a new state-of-the-art facility featuring a 40,200sqm distribution facility and 800sqm of modern office space.
Charter Hall has a large, long-term partnership with Bunnings across its Retail and Industrial & Logistics sectors, comprising approximately $4 billion of assets. This latest lease agreement at Flagstone Logistics Estate reinforces the strength of that partnership, with the new warehouse designed to meet Bunnings’ operational needs and support the business’ continued growth in Queensland.
Dats has signed a ten-year pre-commitment for an 18,000sqm warehouse and 550sqm office to service its national distribution network.
Both new facilities will target a 5-star Green Star Design & As-Built rating and feature ESG initiatives including EV chargers, solar rainwater tanks for irrigation and LED lighting throughout, with daylight harvesting in the warehouses.
Charter Hall Industrial & Logistics CEO, Richard Stacker, said, “Progress at Flagstone Logistics Estate is gathering momentum with these pre-commitments secured with two Australian owned businesses and leaders in their respective fields.
“We’re seeing increasing demand across the country for well-located land with new distribution facilities to drive operational efficiencies for our customers. This is particularly felt in Brisbane, where opportunities to expand to modern, high-quality assets in strategic locations are limited.
“With a national $6.8 billion development pipeline, of which $1.6 billion is located in Brisbane, we continue to deliver well-located, best-in-class industrial and logistics facilities for our tenant customers, while also creating sustainable returns for our investors.”
Charter Hall’s long-term commitment to the Brisbane market is evident in its growing industrial and logistics portfolio, covering 4.9 million square metres of land.
Construction at Flagstone Logistics Estate is well underway with practical completion of both facilities scheduled for FY26.
