Charter Hall Social Infrastructure REIT (ASX: CQE) today announced the appointment of Ms Kate Melrose as an Independent Director of the Responsible Entity for CQE, Charter Hall Social Infrastructure Limited (CHSIL).
Ms Melrose was identified for the position following a search conducted on behalf of the Charter Hall Group and CQE Boards.
The appointment of Ms Melrose coincides with the retirement of Mr Victor Cottren as a Non-Executive Director of the CHSIL Board. Ms Melrose will also replace Mr Cottren as a member of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Ms Melrose is an experienced Executive General Manager with 30 years of experience in the property sector. Ms Melrose spent 14 years with Lendlease in various development, business strategy, marketing and sales roles before joining Greengate Property Group, a privately-owned retirement living and aged care business as General Manager, Sales and Marketing.
Since 2014, Kate has been the Executive General Manager, Project Sales for Ingenia Communities, an ASX listed Australian property group owning, operating and developing lifestyle and holiday communities.
Ms Melrose holds a Bachelor of Business (Land Economy) from Western Sydney University.
CQE Chair, Grant Hodgetts said he was pleased to welcome Ms Melrose to the Board and looked forward to her contribution.
