Charter Hall's 40 Creek Street, Brisbane secures Fitness First

Charter Hall's Opportunity Fund No.5 (CHOF5) has secured Fitness First at 40 Creek Street, Brisbane following an active six months of leasing activity across the building with approximately
5,525 square metres (or 45% of NLA) of space being leased.

Fitness First, the largest global health club and gym operator, is planning to open its first Brisbane Platinum club at 40 Creek Street on levels one to three.  The new Platinum club, will showcase the highest standards of fitness facilities in Australia and will provide Brisbane with a luxury private getaway within a private health club atmosphere.

Charter Hall's leasing team also secured four new lease agreements and one lease extension since March this year.  Town Planning firm Humphrey Reynolds Perkins leased 642 square metres on a seven year lease term; WT Partnership leased 435 square metres on a seven year lease term; Kentor Gold has leased 322 square metres on a five year term; and Change Accountants has leased 350 square metres on a six year lease term.  ASX listed Eastern Star Gas also expanded its tenancy across an additional floor on a five year term, taking its total area to approximately 1,285 square metres.

Charter Hall's National Leasing Director, Emil Joubert, said: '40 Creek Street offers tenants high quality and flexible office space in Brisbane CBD's sought after golden triangle. With circa 76% leased to date, only a limited amount of office space remains in the building'.

The fully refurbished 40 Creek Street comprises over 12,000 square metres of A-grade commercial office space over 17 levels, with ground floor retail and car parking for 70 cars.  CHOF5 acquired and comprehensively refurbished 40 Creek Street in 2008, with the building targeting a 4 Star NABERS Energy rating.
