Home HQ North Shore, Sydney NSW

  • The new Home HQ North Shore household retail centre on Sydney's North Shore was awarded the first rating under the Green Star – Retail Centre v1 tool. Constructed upon the former Willoughby Council Depot site, the project achieved a 4 Star Green Star rating representing 'Best Practice' environmental standards for its conversion of the existing heritage-listed industrial warehouse.
  • Home HQ was awarded one Green Star innovation point for the installation of dedicated Ecologically Sustainable Design (ESD) screens in the central information station. The screens help raise awareness of the sustainable design credentials of the centre, as well as providing information to visitors on how they can reduce their own ecological footprints.

171 Collins Street, Melbourne Vic

171 Collins Street is the first Premium Grade commercial building to be developed in Melbourne's Paris end in over 20 years. The development demonstrates world leadership by targeting 6 Star Green Star (v2) Design and As-built ratings as well as a 5 Star NABERS Energy rating incorporating the following environmental features;

  • An iconic, high performance façade that incorporates argon filled double glazed façade units, open ceramic based mesh frit, and thermal structural frame enhancements.
  • An Under Floor Air Distribution (UFAD) that provides high volumes of fresh outdoor air and individual occupant control.
  • Grey water re-use and rain water harvesting systems that minimise the use of potable water. 171 Collins Street is targeting the maximum number of Water points available under the Green Star rating tool.
  • End of trip facilities that exceed the Green Star requirements and includes 282 bicycle parking spaces, change rooms, lockers, drying rooms and a bicycle air fill station.
